It's a pleasure to present to you the latest and greatest in Immutable's partnership escapades. In the past week, the Immutable universe has expanded to include some truly stellar alliances, all in the name of Web3 gaming glory. Without further ado, let's dive into the list of partnerships that are sure to make waves in the gaming world:

  1. Endless Clouds

    Immutable partners with Endless Clouds to bring @TheTreeverse and @CapsuleHeroes to Immutable #zkEVM, the home of Web3 gaming! Both games will be rolling out exclusively early 2024.

    This is one of the biggest wins in Immutable history as TreeVerse is widely regarded as the most anticipated game from most of the current incumbent Web3 gamers minus one community post this announcement 🥹

    Cool Cats is coming to gaming life & building on Immutable zkEVM. Built by @SyncStudio_ and hosted by the highly regarded @play_ember, Cool Cats: Match Quest will be going live on mobile and will be available to download worldwide very soon.

    Imaginary Ones is committed to building on Immutable zkEVM. Created in 2022, Imaginary Ones started off as an amazing PFP collection with 17K+ ETH total trading volume. They are bringing their mobile-based Imaginary World to life on Immutable.

  5. What Is This Sorcery (WITS TCG)

    WITS is set in the fantastical world of Catena, where players collect and trade digital cards representing unique characters, spells, and artifacts. The game has a rich backstory inspired by real-world events, offering various game modes and a WITS token for in-game and real-world use.

  8. Axelar Network

    Immutable partners with Axelar Network to enable cross-chain interoperability for all games building on Immutable Passport. This partnership will allow players to seamlessly transfer their assets and progress across multiple blockchains, making the gaming experience more accessible and enjoyable for everyone!

    An immersive RPG adventure that allows for an engagement experience combining hero management, card-based battles, and a fantasy narrative.

  10. Catacomb Crawlers
    A partnership formed way back in mid-2022. The game is moving closer to release and as recent as December 2023, they unofficially confirmed that they are still building on Immutable but looking at the zkEVM chain. Keep an eye for this one as SUI is also courting them.

Highlight of the Week

Endless Clouds led by the very popular Loopify has decided that the tech and partnership with Immutable zkEVM was the best fit for his 2 games TreeVerse & Capsule Heroes. The reasons for this decision are:

  • Onboarding Excellence - led by Passport

  • Gas-free gaming

  • Partner capabilities and delegable tasks

  • Simplification of dev process through tooling

  • Connections

  • Security

Loopify envisions TreeVerse to have multiple millions of MAG (Monthly Active Gamers). Considering no chain has had a game with those numbers to date, choosing a chain based on current community was clearly fairly low on the priority list. In our opinion Immutable with Passport and Gas free gaming is positioned the best to onboard new gamers from the Web2 world.

This is a huge win for Immutable, the network effects benefits from signing these games could be a major catalyst for continued success, maintaining Immutable’s leading gaming chain position & set the year up for further domination.

  • Meta Toy Dragonz Saga seems to have shifted focus to build on Wemix.

  • Head Artistic & Co-Founder steps down from Illuvium - Notes personal reasons that can be explored in the games Discord.

  • Kiraverse have signed Team Chronic as a Marketing partner.

  • Resurgence developer Salt Water games acquires Nexus Labs, makers of Drone racing game Celeros the Polygon PoS game. Does this mean we will see them on Immutable zkEVM in the future?

  • Overlord release a long awaited development diaries.

  • Undeads Games seem to be on the path to rebranding using the word Metaverse less often (we like it!) and started posting weekly dev blogs focussed on their core games progress and roadmap.

  • Peanut Games comes out of nowhere to finally use that @1000 a month Gold X handle after 6 months of silent building. What are they cooking?

  • EmberSword will now focus its content on Lore instead of development progress on their Wednesday recurring message.

What new games can I play?

  • After over 6 months of Radio silence Moonstrike Game came out of nowhere and showed off their new art style and pivot to mobile gaming. They also teased a playtest for Android users by end of January.

  • Evermoon having a final call for pre-beta testing and to collect a special NFT with awesome utility.

We should see zkEVM this coming week! Expected to land on the 31st of January however software development projects deadlines are often missed so if it doesn’t land on the 31st, id expect it mid February.

Final Word

This was one of the best weeks in Immutable history. 10 games, 5 of which are of epic status and one in particular that is probably one of the best games they could sign. Also 3 games coming from less gamer backgrounds and more of Crypto degen style communities. Interesting!
